St Patrick’s day friendship bracelet style

Green and Celtic is an easy enough pattern that a beginner could make. 

I start in Gimp with making a 6 string pattern and follow only straight lines. This pattern lends itself to many possibilities but we are only exploring this one today.

Once I was satisfied with the pattern I used a kumihimo disk to braid 12 strings. Yes, it’s a 6 string pattern, but by doubling up the strings I can shift the two separate colors later.

The pattern is pretty straight forward and as you can see from the finished image, it came out nice.
