Turning a 3-Color Bracelet into 6 Colors 🌈 Pattern 3917 Transformation!

What happens when you take a simple 3-color bracelet… and double it to SIX? 👀

Today we’re revisiting pattern 3917 and pushing it further by transforming it into a full rainbow design. This isn’t just a color swap—this is about understanding how patterns flow, how strings travel, and how symmetry lets you build something way more complex than it first appears.

🧵 In this video:

Rotating and expanding a pattern for redesign
Mapping out string paths step-by-step
Using symmetry (copy + flip) to complete the design faster
Turning a basic structure into a bold rainbow bracelet 🌈

The result? A design that starts with hot colors, flows into cool tones, and then loops back—creating a super dynamic and eye-catching bracelet.

💡 This is the kind of process that helps you move from following patterns to actually creating your own.

So… I actually made it 👀

After redesigning pattern 3917 into a 6-color version, I finally sat down and tied the whole thing—and the results were honestly surprising.

🌈 Big takeaway?
This version is actually easier to follow than the original 3-color pattern.

With six distinct colors:

You can clearly see which string is moving where
No more guessing between doubled-up colors
The pattern flow becomes way more intuitive

🧵 In this video, I talk about:

Why more colors can actually simplify a pattern
How the rainbow flow helps track your progress
The balance between hot and cool colors
String usage (surprisingly even!)
What I still don’t love about this zigzag design 👀

There’s also a really interesting shift after the halfway point—where the pattern suddenly feels faster and easier to complete.

💬 I’m also thinking about pushing this design further…
What if we kept the large center diamond but changed the zigzag structure?

Let me know what you think!

And as always…
Don’t get your strings in a bunch.
