Revisiting Pattern #28776 with Bold Colors!

Hey everyone! We’re back at it with Pattern #28776—you might remember this from a past bracelet I did using variegated floss. This time, I’m switching things up with bold solid colors to really bring out that Celtic, twisty over-under vibe. 🧶

💡 Focus color: Bright Yellow (hello contrast!)
🔁 Structure: Repeating over/under knots that give a DNA-like twist
⚠️ Tip: The red and yellow strands get used up fast—so plan ahead for longer tassels!

We’re back with a remix of Pattern #28776—this time with a whole new look! Last round, I worked it up using variegated floss, but I wanted to see how it would feel with bold solid colors. The result? A stunning DNA-like twist where the strands spiral around each other. 🧬✨

This version was also a test of floss types:
🔴 Red – my usual floss (perfect length, long tassels ✅)
🟠 Orange – fluorescent floss (shorter, but still better than variegated)

Cutting in thirds of a skein gives me the perfect balance of security and flexibility.

This pattern isn’t quite beginner-friendly, but it’s great if you’re ready to experiment with left-to-right / right-to-left knots.

And honestly, I love this version more than the variegated one. The overlap looks just like DNA strands wrapping around each other—it’s mesmerizing! I might even experiment next with making the smaller diamonds run all the way down the bracelet for a new variation. 👀
