Making a Brand New Bracelet Pattern on the Fly 🎨 | Elongated Arrowhead Remix
Hey everyone, Kevin here—aka AWOL—and today we’re doing something totally spontaneous. I’m building a brand new friendship bracelet pattern from scratch, right here on screen, with zero guarantees that it’ll work out… but that’s part of the fun!
Using leftover strings from earlier projects, I’m constructing an elongated arrowhead remix with two stacked diamond sections and a cool hot-to-cold color fade. I walk through the entire pattern creation process—from string placement to tracing paths and filling in knots—so you can see how to experiment and make your own original designs.
🎯 This isn’t a beginner pattern (you will get lost if you’re not careful), but it’s a great insight into the creative process behind making unique patterns. You’ll learn:
- How to trace string paths logically
- How mirroring builds a full pattern
- How colors interact when layering diamonds
- Tips for avoiding mistakes while designing
Let me know in the comments if you want the pattern or if you try making this one yourself. See you tomorrow when we turn this design into a real bracelet!

Hey friends, Kevin here—aka AWOL—and this one really surprised me! Today I’m showing off a brand-new pattern idea I cooked up: an elongated arrowhead bracelet using two diamond sections instead of one. Sounds simple, right? That’s what I thought too…
Turns out, this slight twist completely threw off my rhythm! 😅
I had to keep checking the pattern on-screen to avoid mistakes (spoiler: I still made one and had to rip out a bunch of knots). But in the end? This bracelet turned out bold, boxy, and very different from the usual arrowhead flow.
🎯 Highlights:
- Unexpected difficulty from a simple twist
- Mistake & recovery moment (it happens!)
- Design inspiration: Batman’s flying wing? Turkish tiles? Soundwave vibes?
- Ideas for future versions—double-wide, fade colors, even turning it into a pen holder or a bag!
🕒 Build time: Just under 2 hours
🎨 Featured colors: Dark blue center, hot colors radiating out
💡 Pro tip: Avoid red if you’re doing a light-to-dark fade—you’ll thank me later 😉
