Reworking Pattern #46 | A Classic Chevron with a Twist!

Today we’re taking a fresh look at pattern #46 from friendship-bracelets.net — but with a twist! 🔀

While this design starts out with familiar chevrons, it’s loaded with zigzags that make it a bit more intense than it first appears. I decided to flip and rotate the pattern to create something that flows both directions — giving it a more dynamic and complete look.

The color palette closely matches the original, with a deep brown center that gives way to reds, oranges, and a light off-white. The final design flows beautifully, and while it’s not exactly beginner-easy, it’s definitely manageable with a bit of focus.

Pattern #46 from friendship-bracelets.net looked like a breeze — classic chevrons, clean lines, nothing wild… right? 😅

Well, mostly. Once I decided to flip the pattern at the midpoint to create a mirrored design, things got a lot more challenging. That center section? Full of zigzags and weird symmetry that definitely tested my patience. But in the end, the whole bracelet came together in just under 2 hours — and I’m honestly surprised by how good it looks.

📐 Pattern: #46 from friendship-bracelets.net
🧵 Color theme: Earthy tones with dark brown, red, orange, and cream
⏱ Time: 1 hour and 48 minutes start to finish

This one turned out to be more intermediate-to-advanced — not necessarily from complexity, but from the added challenge of flipping direction mid-bracelet. Still, it’s totally doable with the right tools and a bit of planning.

Big thanks to my YouTube Members! Your support helps keep the videos coming — and helps me replace string, tools, and eventually, the computer itself.
