The Weirdest Zigzag Friendship Bracelet I’ve Ever Seen

Today we’re diving into friendship-bracelets.net Pattern 3982… and this may be the strangest zigzag bracelet I’ve ever analyzed. 😅

Normally zigzag patterns are pretty straightforward, but this one constantly changes direction in ways that don’t feel intuitive at all. The spacing shifts, the colors bounce around unexpectedly, and at first I genuinely couldn’t figure out what the creator was even trying to achieve.

So naturally… we rebuilt the whole thing. 😂

In this video I:
🧵 Trace the knot paths step-by-step
🎨 Reorganize the colors into an actual rainbow order
🤔 Try to figure out the logic behind the zigzag structure
✂️ Discover a repeated section that makes the pattern easier
😅 Question my life choices several times along the way

What started as total confusion actually became much clearer near the end once the repeating structure revealed itself. Tomorrow we’ll make the bracelet and see whether it’s as difficult as it looks on paper.

💬 Do you think this pattern is creative… or just chaotic? Let me know in the comments!

Today we’re working on friendship-bracelets.net Pattern 3902 — a zigzag bracelet that somehow manages to feel both repetitive and confusing at the same time. 😅

This pattern repeats itself in a really unusual way, and even after making the entire bracelet I still don’t fully understand what the original design goal was supposed to be. It’s not bad looking at all… it’s just strange.

In this video we talk about:
🧵 How the pattern repeats in unexpected ways
🤔 Why the design never really becomes intuitive
⚠️ The tension issues that can make the bracelet curve like a banana
🎨 Why the colors actually balance out better than expected
💡 Whether a double-wide version might make the design more interesting

Compared to some of the other recent bracelet experiments, this one wasn’t especially difficult — but it definitely required constant pattern checking to stay on track.

And honestly? That might be part of what makes it interesting.

💬 I want your opinion:
If we make a double-wide version of this bracelet, should it expand from the LEFT side or the RIGHT side?
