🧵 Designing a Unique Friendship Bracelet Pattern!
Hey everyone! Kevin (aka AWOL) here, and today we’re diving into bracelet pattern design! 🎨 I’m taking inspiration from pattern 1451 on friendship-bracelets.net, but putting my own spin on it. Instead of following the original exactly, I’m modifying the design and doubling the size to create a 16-string pattern—and I’m excited to see how it turns out!
Here’s what we’re doing:
🔹 Adjusting the placement of dots and colors
🔹 Experimenting with two different knotting styles to see which is more efficient
🔹 Creating a blue and white color scheme for a fresh look
🔹 Using GIMP tools to quickly copy and mirror the pattern for a full design
This is just the first version of this experiment! In the next video, I’ll try an alternate version to compare techniques and see which method is faster.

This is the pattern I took inspiration from.

Hey everyone! Kevin (aka AWOL) here, and today we’re making a super beginner-friendly bracelet that I designed on the fly! 🎨 This two-color bracelet follows a simple knotting method, making it fast, easy, and perfect for anyone learning left and right knots.
Key Features of This Bracelet:
✔ No official pattern – custom design inspired by a past bracelet
✔ Only two colors – dark goes right, light goes left = super simple!
✔ Fast to make – finished in 75 minutes! ⏱
✔ Subtle texture difference – adds a unique feel to the bracelet
I also tested a row-by-row knotting method to compare it against the next bracelet I’ll be making, which will use four colors and a different knotting style. I’m excited to see which one turns out to be more efficient!
💬 What do you think? Do you prefer working row by row, or do you segment knot like I usually do? Let me know in the comments!
