Off-Center Diamonds & Candy Chaos
Brace yourselves — pattern #165524 just broke my brain 😅
This week’s Blindsided Creation comes from BraceletBook and looks deceptively simple… until you realize the diamonds are off-center and nothing lines up quite the way you’d expect. Even with just 6 colors and a candy-stripe-style flow, this one went completely sideways (literally — I flipped it 😜).
🧵 Pattern: #165524
📍 Source: BraceletBook
🎯 Difficulty: Intermediate / Brain-Bendy
⏱️ Time to Design: More than expected
🎨 Colors: 6 (12 strings)
🎥 Technique: Visual mapping, no easy segmenting, flipped layout for extra spice
👀 What to expect:
Off-center diamonds that challenge your usual candy logic
Color planning chaos (in the best way)
Live design decisions and how I overcame a bad layout start
Why sometimes, it’s best to scrap your setup and restart
A flipped version that transforms the whole bracelet!

Think you’re ready for a candy stripe twist? Pattern #165524 pretends to be simple — but it’s one of the most deceptive 12-string bracelets I’ve tackled yet. It’s a Blindsided Creation with no real segment knotting, off-center diamonds, and a vibe that says “chevron-meets-chaos.” 😵💫
Despite only using right and left knots, this bracelet turns into a brain game fast. From failed symmetry to a mid-pattern flip (that honestly didn’t help much), this build was weirdly fun, weirdly frustrating, and 100% worth exploring.

🧶 Strings: 12 (6 colors)
⏱️ Build Time: ~1 hour 8 minutes
📈 Difficulty: Intermediate (not for autopilot mode!)
💡 Key Challenge: No segment knotting + off-centered visual balance
