Off-Center Chaos or Brilliant Design?
This Blindsided Creation took me way off-script. Pattern #170142 from BraceletBook brings bold diamonds, wild symmetry (or lack thereof), and enough directional weirdness to keep me questioning everything. 🧠
At first glance, it looks like a bold vertical centerpiece… but once I got into it? Hot colors vs. cold colors, curve vs. straight knots, big diamonds inside other diamonds, and a flip that might work? Let’s just say this one made me think way more than it should have.

Welcome back to another Blindsided Creation, where the patterns are confusing, the knots are zigzaggy, and my penmanship tries to sabotage me. 😅 This one is from BraceletBook — pattern #170142 — and it’s definitely a departure from anything I’d normally do.
At first, I wasn’t sure how to tackle it. The pattern bounces direction, breaks symmetry, and even flips personalities halfway through (just like me). But the second half? Surprisingly smooth — and probably the better way to knot this thing if you’re giving it a go.

Red, yellow, blue on one side / green, orange, purple on the other
First half: confusion and chaos
Second half: ✨ surprisingly pleasant
Behind-the-scenes snafu: I forgot to save the pattern and had to recreate it from my own video 😅
Color math and floss management
Bonus tangent: my secret love for fountain pens 🖋️
