Pattern #88642 Preview + Layout Breakdown

I walk you through how I centered this design using my template, break down the structure (lots of diamonds!), and test whether the strings can follow clean, row-by-row paths without needing constant zigzags. The answer? Surprisingly yes—but that doesn’t make this pattern beginner-friendly.

Hey friends, it’s Kevin (aka AWOL), and today we’re wrapping up bracelet pattern #88642 from friendship-bracelets.net, along with kumi loop #1047. This one looked promising on paper—but as the pattern progressed, my color choice kind of backfired. 😅 I paired a variegated floss with a solid that was way too close in shade—and in several sections, the pattern practically disappears. It’s still a beautiful bracelet, but the lack of contrast made it tough to track, slow to knot, and not as clean visually as I hoped.
