Flipping the Pattern Made ALL the Difference

Today we’re tackling pattern #106767 — and this one is not for the faint of heart! I chose this because it’s a challenge, and as you’ll see, it definitely keeps you on your toes. We’re setting the center with a unique X shape formed by arrows, which makes for a really bold focal point. Plus, we’re experimenting with variegated floss again, this time using two strands near the loop.

🎨 Color Highlight: Red center + variegated outer strands

Today I’m working with pattern #106767 from friendship-bracelets.net — plus its matching kumihimo, pattern #13673. What started as a slightly awkward build with fussy chevrons and arrow details completely changed when I flipped the pattern 180°. Suddenly, everything flowed beautifully!

If you’ve ever loved how a pattern looks but hated tying it, flipping it might be the fix you didn’t know you needed. In this video, I’ll walk you through:

The variegated floss in this bracelet shifts from light pink to deep red, paired with a dark mauve for contrast — making the design stand out while still keeping a warm, cohesive palette.
