Mashing Two Patterns into One INSANE Bracelet Design

Today, we’re doing something a little wild.

I’m Kevin (aka AWOL), and in this video, I take elements from two different friendship bracelet patterns—a narrow arrowhead and a stretched-out variation—and combine them into a brand new design. If you’ve ever wondered how to create your own patterns or remix existing ones, this is the deep-dive you’re looking for.

📌 What you’ll see:

  • How I map color flows from two styles into one cohesive layout
  • My process for tracking zigzagging threads using visual cues
  • How color placement dramatically affects the final look
  • Why I think this will be one of the most eye-catching bracelets yet 🔥

🧵 This project really showcases the power of blending creativity with technique. The way the colors tighten at the center and loosen toward the edges? Chef’s kiss.
💡 You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes look at how I troubleshoot color paths, avoid tangles (literally), and get a design ready for production.

🙏 Thank you to my amazing YouTube Members for the push to attempt something new and challenging. Your support makes these experimental builds possible.

Hey everyone, it’s Kevin (aka AWOL), and this bracelet turned out WAY better than I expected.

In this build, I combined two different arrowhead-style patterns—the elongated version I’ve grown to love (from my former nemesis!) and a super tight 2×3 arrowhead—into a single flowing design. The result? A bold center diamond with zigzags that stretch and compress in just the right ways.

Here’s what you’ll see:
🌀 How I handled the two pattern systems with different knotting styles
🎨 The color transitions that make this bracelet feel like it’s glowing from the inside out
🔁 My tips on working from a pattern while still trusting your instincts
🧠 Why this felt like an old-school bracelet challenge—back to my roots!

💡 Pro Tip: Adding that giant diamond in the middle made everything easier to mirror and balance.
