Can THIS Pattern Be a Beginner Bracelet?! (Pattern #75953 Breakdown)

Trying something a little different today 👀

We’re diving into pattern #75953 from friendship-bracelets.net and breaking it down step by step to see if it can actually work as a beginner-friendly bracelet.

At first glance, it looks a bit complex—with that figure 8 (infinity) shape, diamonds, and chevrons—but once we map it out… things get interesting.

💡 In this video:

How to resize and rework a tiny pattern into something usable
Finding the true center of a design (and why it matters)
Building symmetry using copy + flip
Color balancing tricks that make patterns pop
Can this be done with ONLY forward & backward knots?!

👉 This might be the perfect “next step” bracelet if you already know the basics and want to level up your designs.

⚠️ We also talk about:

Extending patterns (adding rows = BIG risk 👀)
String usage differences between colors
Why some patterns almost feel complete… but not quite

I finally made pattern #75953 from friendship-bracelets.net… and honestly?

This might be one of the best “level-up” beginner bracelets I’ve seen 👀

👉 Full breakdown + results in this video:

At first glance, the design looks complex—diamonds, chevrons, even a hidden infinity/figure-8 vibe—but here’s the twist…

💡 It’s made using ONLY:

  • Forward knots
  • Backward knots

That’s it.

🧵 Why this is great for beginners:

  • Helps you master tension control (super important!)
  • Introduces more complex shapes without new knot types
  • Teaches pattern flow and symmetry
  • Looks WAY more advanced than it actually is

⚠️ Real talk:

  • It will challenge you (especially keeping things straight)
  • The first half might feel messy—stick with it
  • It gets easier as the pattern starts to “click”

⏱️ Time taken: ~1 hour (with extra rows + livestream distractions 😅)

📏 I also tested:

  • Adding extra rows → totally works
  • String usage → surprisingly balanced
  • Color options → ANY high contrast combo looks amazing

🎨 Design highlights:

  • Hidden infinity / figure-8 shapes
  • Overlapping chevrons (almost like stacked layers 👀)
  • Subtle geometric illusions throughout
