Rainbow Twist on a 14-String Curveball

Back with another Blindsided Creation from the ever-reliable @Minute_Craft! This time, we’re working with pattern #87531 from BraceletBook — a 14-string challenge with a unique fade and an even more interesting structure.

Right off the bat, I decided to ditch the original light/dark fade and swap in a rainbow color scheme for a high-contrast, high-impact look 🌈. The pattern itself? Surprisingly not repetitive. Every row throws something new at you — especially with how each color flows across the background.

📌 Pattern: #87531 on BraceletBook
🎨 Colors used: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple + Black Background
🧶 Skill Level: Intermediate (Zigzags + Color Control)
🕒 Time to prep: Just under an hour to plan; build video coming soon!

✔️ What’s tricky:

Not much segment knotting

Unusual arch structures

Definitely not a copy-paste pattern

💬 Curious how it would look with a white background instead of black? Me too! Maybe I’ll do a second version 👀

I thought this one was going to wreck me… but it actually worked out perfectly 😲

Today’s Blindsided Creation features pattern #87531 from BraceletBook — another gem from @Minute_Craft — and it brought curve after curve with almost zero repetition. What looked like total chaos turned into a surprisingly harmonious rainbow twist that I genuinely love. 🌈

🔍 Key takeaways:

14 strings, 6 rainbow colors + 1 background

Chose black for contrast, but now I really want to try white 👀

Practically no segment knotting — had to follow every knot in the pattern

It looks wild, but the color flow works on both sides

Total time: ~1 hour 20 mins (not bad for a pattern this tricky)

🎨 The original was done in fades, but I swapped in bold rainbow colors — and I think that change really brought the whole design to life. If you’re looking for a challenge that feels worth it, this is one to try.
