Can I take this friendship bracelet design and make the boxes even SMALLER? That’s today’s experiment! I’ve been playing with this box-style pattern for a while, but this time I wanted to see what would happen if I reduced each section to just four little …

Sometimes a design just doesn’t work—and that’s part of creating! I actually started this project once already, didn’t like where it was going, scrapped the video AND the design, and came back the next day with a new idea. This time, I moved the starting …

Sometimes the best pattern experiments are the ones where you have no idea how they’ll turn out. In this video, I take Pattern #7809 from Friendship-Bracelets.net and adapt it to one of my single-stranded, petite bracelet templates. The goal isn’t to completely redesign it—it’s to …

Sometimes a friendship bracelet pattern has a great idea… it just needs a little redesign. In this video, I take Pattern #7487 from Friendship-Bracelets.net and use it as inspiration for a completely new bracelet. Instead of copying it exactly, I simplify the color layout, rethink …

Can an entire friendship bracelet be built from nothing but spirals? That’s the challenge I set for myself in this video. Starting with a blank 8-string template (16 working strings), I design a brand-new friendship bracelet pattern completely from scratch. The goal is to create …

After making the double-wide version with single strands, I couldn’t stop thinking about one more variation… What if I doubled the strands instead? In this video, I redesign the same custom pattern to work with doubled strings. The bracelet will be physically smaller because each …

Can this bracelet template handle a pattern that uses one string much more than the others? That’s exactly what I’m trying to find out! In this video, I design a brand-new friendship bracelet pattern from scratch, inspired by the classic Arrowhead pattern but arranged to …

Getting the starting string order right can be one of the trickiest parts of designing a friendship bracelet. In this video, I map out a long, skinny zigzag pattern to figure out exactly where every string belongs before I ever tie a knot. Along the …

After updating my bracelet template with extra rows, it’s finally time for the real test! For this experiment, I’m using friendship-bracelets.net pattern #28—a pattern I know extremely well. Since it uses all of the strings fairly evenly, it’s the perfect way to find out whether …

Can a simple color change completely transform a bracelet? In this video, I take friendship-bracelets.net pattern #7883 and prepare it for a custom color layout. While the original pattern uses a rainbow-inspired palette, I decided to map it out with a different color flow and …
