Autism Awareness With a Friendship Bracelet Bag

Above is the original pattern I had worked out before I went looking for the floss I had already ordered. Then I discovered 2 of each color. Like 2 blues and 2 reds, etc… So I reconsidered how this might work and I came up with this.

What I like is how it manages to make edge pieces out of the tops as well as keeps the colors well spread out. I think it’s fantastic. Guess that’s why I made it. Granted there was way more used to make this bag but that’s the beauty. The pattern just keeps repeating so there’s no need to make this printed version any bigger. The big part of what makes this special is that colors don’t overlap with themselves making the puzzle look more convincing. This was what inspired me to take on this project. When this pattern is made flat, the colors will bounce back when they reach the sides and looks a bit out of place. Some have gotten around this by making an alpha pattern, but as I’ve said in a number of videos I feel like that is cheating. My solution was to send the “dark” colors to the right and the “lighter” colors to the left. making a tube or cylinder keeps there from being an edge to ruin this fun look.
