Creating a New Bracelet Pattern from Scratch – Finding the Perfect Color Order!

Hey everyone! Today, I’m designing a new friendship bracelet pattern to help me decide on the perfect color order for my latest project. I’ve chosen six shades of red, but to make things easier, I’m mapping it out with a rainbow color sequence first. This method helps me visualize the placement before committing to my final color choices.

I’ll walk you through my process using graph paper, explaining how I determine where each string should go. This pattern is one of my go-to favorites—simple yet super effective, and it looks amazing when made double-wide or even used for larger projects like bags!

Today, I’m testing out a familiar bracelet pattern—but this time with a six-color red fade! 🔥 Instead of keeping the sections distinct, I wanted to blur the lines and see how smoothly the transition would flow from light to dark.

This bracelet took just over an hour to complete, and while the fade isn’t perfect, I think it came out looking pretty cool! Plus, this was a great way to swatch some of the 115 colors I’ve narrowed down from my original 447 options. (Big project ahead!)

If you want to try this pattern for yourself, you can grab it over at akaawol.com in the tutorial section! And if you make it, share your results with the Discord community—we love seeing what everyone creates! 🎨✨
