Centering a Complicated Pattern 112550

Today we’re diving into Pattern #112550 from FriendshipBracelets.net — and while the pattern is already online, I’m showing you how to center it, break it down, and prep it for a perfectly balanced bracelet build.

🧵 In this video:

  • How to decide the visual center of a pattern
  • Why I always use templates (and why it matters for symmetry!)
  • Tips for color planning & floss conservation
  • Mapping string paths visually before you start
  • My favorite trick: flipping the top half to complete the design instantly 💡

Today we’re wrapping up the build for Pattern #112550 from FriendshipBracelets.net — and honestly? This one came out just right. From symmetry to color balance to a satisfying layout, this is a great example of how centering your design can elevate your bracelet from cool to pro-level.

🧵 In this video:

  • How I mapped the pattern to create a perfectly centered layout
  • Why balance matters (and how people notice the difference)
  • Final thoughts on using templates for consistent results
  • What worked, what was tricky, and where I might remix this pattern
  • Kumi loop sneak peek made by Mandy (so pretty!)

📏 Finished bracelet is ~14cm long (15.5cm with loop), perfect for most wrists with long tassels for flexibility. The 12-string setup made this a fast 1-hour make, though it’s definitely better suited to intermediate crafters due to lots of zigzag knots.

🔁 Thinking about trying this with a different center point for comparison — let me know in the comments if that’s something you’d want to see in a future video!
