Intersecting 16-String Design with Hidden Symmetry

Ever had an idea that might work, but you’re not 100% sure until you just do it? That’s exactly what this bracelet is.

Today I’m building a bracelet that features two stacked diamond shapes—a smaller one inside a larger one—and weaving through it with a four-color palette. The whole thing started as a sketch in my head, and I thought, “Let’s see what happens!”

🎨 Colors: Red, Orange, Blue, and Purple
🧵 Style: Alternating over/under weave with layered symmetry
🧠 Skill Level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate

This video walks you through how I visualize and construct patterns live. It’s not about having it all planned out—it’s about trying something new and seeing it through. If you’re curious about designing your own patterns or just want to watch the process unfold, this one’s for you.

✂️ Tools used: Digital design grid + good ol’ intuition

Today’s bracelet caught me off guard—in the best way. 😅 What started as a freestyle idea turned into a surprisingly balanced and beautiful pattern.

This 16-string design weaves two color pairs (red/purple and orange/blue) in opposing mirrored shapes that bounce, intersect, and loop around each other in a way I did not plan but absolutely love. There’s also some cool perspective work with the gray background to help everything pop.

🧵 What makes this bracelet special:

Symmetry in motion: red/purple mirror orange/blue

Consistent outer-edge direction using gray floss (#415)

Subtle creative choices in pathing (left vs. right slants)

Took ~1 hour 25 minutes to complete

🎯 Skill Level: Intermediate – you’ll want to pay attention when starting each row, but once it’s flowing, the pattern repeats itself beautifully.

💬 I’m not feeling 100% in this video (came down with something 😷), but I still wanted to share this bracelet with you and wrap up this month’s series. Thank you to my amazing YouTube Members for supporting every step of this creative journey.
