Can This Tricky Pattern Work with Variegated Floss

I picked this one as a challenge before I got obsessed with variegated floss – and I’m not totally sure it’s going to work. But hey, that’s part of the fun. 😉

Hey everyone! Kevin here (aka AWOL) and today we’re tackling Pattern #105408 (Kumi #802)—a two-color, 12-string bracelet that turned out… well, interesting.

I paired white with a gray variegated floss expecting decent contrast, but those long light-gray stretches really dulled the effect. That said, the pattern itself is fantastic, and it still worked well enough to finish in 63 minutes. 😅

🧵 Some tangles, lots of counting, but nothing too wild
🕶️ Bonus: It glows under blacklight! White pops, gray vanishes. Very cool if you’re into UV-reactive styles.

Lessons learned: Not all color combos are winners, and even solid patterns can fall a bit flat if the contrast isn’t right. But it’s all part of the process—and that’s what we’re here for!
