This Pattern Practically Builds Itself!

Hey crafters! Kevin aka AWOL here with a surprisingly easy two-color bracelet design — pattern #89436 from friendshipbracelets.net. 🧶

It’s a pattern that repeats a lot, which I wasn’t sure I’d love at first… but honestly, this one just flows. The symmetry makes it easy to copy, flip, and paste sections, and the string logic almost builds itself. 😄

Welcome back! Today we’re tackling Pattern #89436 (Kumi #1683), a beginner-friendly design that I made not so beginner-friendly by applying a bunch of knotting tricks to get the best out of variegated floss.

This one pairs a pinkish-purple variegated thread with a soft, solid lavender—sounds simple, but managing the contrast turned into an interesting challenge. There are spots where light meets light (and dark meets dark), so I did a lot of strategic direction-switching using zigzag knots to control color blending. 🎨

⏱ Time to complete: 1 hour
🧶 Strings used: 12 total, even usage
🎯 Knotting Style: Modified for color management
📐 Centering Tips: I adjusted the pattern’s start and end to make it symmetrical—you can too!

The result? A soft, dreamy bracelet with hidden diamonds and a subtle ombré effect. If you’re new to variegated floss or want to level up your color control, this is a perfect project.

🙏 A massive thank-you to my YouTube Members for keeping this channel running strong! Your support keeps the lights on and the string flowing. ❤️
