This Simple Pattern Looks Amazing with Variegated Floss
Today we’re breaking down pattern 99643 from friendship-bracelets.net — but instead of following it step-by-step, I’m grabbing a section and manually mapping it into our template to create something perfectly symmetrical and striking. 💚 Using variegated green for the diamond centers, and a sleek gray as contrast, this one is all about visual balance and clean design. I’ll show you how to decode the pattern visually — no instructions needed — and build the bracelet layout from scratch using symmetry tricks and a bit of intuition. 📐 Want to try this yourself? Hey crafters! Kevin here (aka AWOL) back with another variegated floss experiment—and this time, it really worked.
Today’s bracelet is pattern #99643 from friendship-bracelets.net, paired with Kumi #1047 (which honestly steals the show a little). This design is simple, clean, and fast—just a little over an hour to finish. The trick? Matching up those variegated chevrons for a seamless transition and avoiding the telltale light/dark clash.
🪢 Pro tip: I used left-right and right-left knots to swap out strands and keep the illusion alive. If you’re using solids instead of variegated floss, this one’s a total breeze.
⚠️ Made a little mistake segmenting and had to unpick some knots—but hey, that’s crafting. Slow and steady wins the race!
