Decoding a Lost Bracelet Pattern

I was handed a bracelet fragment and asked to figure out the original pattern—no notes, no diagram, just knots and guesswork. 😅 Challenge accepted.

In this video, I walk through my process of reverse engineering the pattern knot by knot. It’s a bit weird, definitely not my favorite design, but there’s something satisfying about solving the puzzle. If you ever lose your pattern mid-project, this might just help you figure it out.

This bracelet started as a headache—and ended up as a surprising favorite. 🎭

Someone on Discord sent me a photo of a half-finished bracelet and asked if I could recreate the lost pattern. At first glance, I hated it. The design made no sense, and I genuinely thought I’d skip making it altogether.

But then curiosity kicked in. I reverse-engineered the pattern, started tying it… and suddenly it all clicked. Turns out, there is a logic here: the light color acts as the object, and the dark color is its shadow. Once I saw that, the whole design came alive.
